Laide was in no way expecting anything to change her mind on marrying Ade. The love she felt for him was out of this world. Ade is kind, handsome, rich and he has great plans for her and the family they are about to start. When Ade asked her out to dinner on 5th time this week, she knew something was up. This time, he was going to cook dinner for her in his new apartment- the same home she will be moving into very soon. Dinner was great.
Ade is such a superb cook; can I ever cook like this? Laide mused. She also realised he was in a quiet mood and wasn’t his usual self.
“What happened today baby? How did your day go?” Laide asked.
“Oh well, very hectic day at work. Got the result of the routine blood work required for the international project we about to start.”
“Hmmmm, how was it? Submitted it to the company yet?” Laide asked casually. --I really hope this isn’t about the wedding and some family obligations--
"No, wanted to talk about it with you first." Ade answered.
"Why? Did something happen?" Laide asked after taking a sip from the wine.
"I’m not sure how to say this but i have to tell you----i owe it to you"
"ooookkkk, go ahead love" Laide responded slowly
The result showed, i mean the result said i am HIV positive, and ehmmm..... a second test confirmed it."
Everything went deadly quiet
This is just a scene i created from my imagination of lovers about to tie the knot and a news like this.
As a girl, would you still go ahead and marry him? As a guy, would u marry someone HIV positive? Would you tell your in-laws? Would you have children?
