On My knees

In the place of prayer
When I fall on my knees
My life is changed
My purpose changed sometimes redefined
Some changes made, I wasn’t excited about
But you asked me to trust
You gave me your word to hold on to.
You told me your best was better than anything I could ever imagine
Better than what I was holding on to.
When I grew weary, beyond weary
You gave me more of your word
You assured me I wasn’t seeking you in vain.
I asked where the proof of my faith is,
And you said
Hold on, Wait on, don’t let go.
And on my Knees, I found strength

If your strength fails in the day of adversary, then you’ve been sleeping, waking, eating and playing
You’ve not been building your strength
